I was scrolling through pictures of our holiday season, and realized how grateful I am for the island in my kitchen! I always wanted a huge island with a counter that I could do all the things on. I wanted to set hot stuff on it, knead dough on it, cut on it, sit on it, etc. I needed an indestructible counter! When I brought up the idea of covering my gorgeous island in stainless steel, many people thought I was nuts. “It will get scratched up,” they would say. Well, they were right. It is covered in a million scratches from many memorable days of baking and cooking. And I love it!!! Here is a look at a few of the fun things that have been created over the past few months.
